Rohit Sharma has been phenomenal in his early days of being India's captain across all three formats. From being brutally honest and funny in press conferences to leading his side from front, Hitman has certainly ticked all the boxes. And while there were speculations about how Rohit and Kohli would get along, it seems like the problem is only in the minds of fans and media.

The two experienced cricketers have time and again proved how much they respect each other, defending each other whenever given a chance. And now, a video from Day 2 of Mohali Test has gone viral which is probably the perfect demonstration of the fact that Rohit Sharma is a great leader and he indeed has quite a good relationship with former captain Virat Kohli.

Rohit leads from the front in Mohali

On his 100th Test, Kohli got a great reception from his teammates and coach on Day 1 before start of play, where he was felicitated and presented with a special gap. As India came to field on Day 2 at IS Bindra Stadium, Rohit realized that they had missed something.

The newly-appointed Indian captain asked Virat Kohli to go back and enter the field once again. Kohli seemed to look quite reluctant but Hitman was firm. The 33-year-old had to go back on being instructed by his skipper and friend and the reason for same was seen few moments later.

Team India wanted to give King Kohli a special guard of honour, which is why Rohit had asked Kohli to go back. It was indeed an extremely heartwarming moment for everyone to see how the two senior players, who are often being talked in media about having rifts, going along so well with each other on the field.
