India are under the pump for the first time in the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2022-23 and it is reflecting on their faces. As Australia have kept them holding by their neck, India are trying to break free with Cheteshwar Pujara leading the charge. The veteran batter has scored a half-century and is still holding one end intact for his team. However, runs have come at a pretty slow rate for India ever since Shreyas Iyer departed.
Although India have scored close to 150 runs, the lead is just over 60 runs. With only three wickets left, India need to score quickly if they are looking to win this game. And India captain Rohit Sharma was seen talking about the same while he was passing on a message to water boy Ishan Kishan.
As cameras moved towards the Indian dressing room, Rohit was animatedly talking to Kishan and gesturing as if he was not happy with the two batters’ approach in the middle. It seemed the India captain wanted the batters to play with a bit of aggression rather than defending every second ball.

Pujara responds in style
As Kishan came up with the captain's message, Cheteshwar Pujara wasted no time in responding to it. A couple of balls later, the batter who is known for his solid defence stepped out against the highest wicket-taker of the innings, Nathan Lyon and smacked him for a massive six. The ball travelled a fair distance while Rohit was left smiling in the dressing room.
