Team India captain, Rohit Sharma is currently toiling hard ahead of the two-match Bangladesh Test series, which is set to commence in Chennai on September 19. The 37-year-old will be looking to make his return in the Indian colours after last leading the side in a series defeat against Sri Lanka in Colombo last month. 

However, Sharma has been working hard, on Wednesday, September 11, he shared a glimpse of his workout and fitness routine on his social media channel. It can be seen that the Indian skipper is focusing on his fitness, hoping to come out good ahead of the crucial Test series.  In his recently shared Instagram video, Sharma showcased not only his demanding fitness regimen, but also had some snippets of the fun moments he shared with his friends during the training sessions.

The video which has gone viral on social media, left the fans drop hilarious reactions as it run a laughing riot. While some added that they “fell in love with that 1%”, a few others also agreed that “Only Rohit Sharma can do this”.

Rohit to lead India in upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh

Rohit Sharma will return in Team India colours in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, alongside the likes of Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Men’s Selection Committee on Monday, September 9 named a 16-member strong squad for the first Test, which is set to be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. 

Young Indian batters, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill have also been named in the side after appearing in the first round of the Duleep Trophy 2024-25 last week. Moreover, the series will also mark the return of wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul as well as Rishabh Pant, who will return to India’s Test side after surviving a horrific accident in December 2022. 

Meanwhile, there have been some surprise inclusions like that of Yash Dayal, it will miss the services of Mohammed Shami, Shreyas Iyer. While Shami has been struggling to regain complete fitness. The selectors are reportedly unhappy with Shreyas Iyer’s performance. Moreover, India will return with their spin quartet of R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav.
