Rohit Sharma was talking to commentators Irfan Pathan and Deep Dasgupta in the post-match show and mockingly called out his bowlers for asking for a chance to bowl as they near a specific milestone. He complained about how in every game someone or the other is on the verge of hitting a milestone and hence demands the ball. He also gave the example of fast bowler Mohammed Siraj, who bowled a complete 10-over spell in order to complete his fifer against Sri Lanka.

Talking about the game, a returning Ravindra Jadeja produced a brilliant all-round performance as he picked seven wickets and also scored a crucial 71-run knock to help India built a massive lead. In the first innings, he picked up a five-wicket haul and dismissed the top two best Test batters, Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith.
With this spell, he broke the middle order and helped India bundle out the Aussie for 177. Then with the bat, he stitched up crucial partnerships with Rohit Sharma and Axar Patel, helping the host register a massive 223-run lead.
Jadeja batted for 185 balls and smashed nine fours while playing with a strike rate of 37.84. Then in the second innings, he once again dismissed Labuschagne and took out captain Pat Cummins to conclude a successful comeback to Test cricket.
