Team India is set to take on England in a highly-anticipated one-off Test match in Birmingham, starting on July 1. Ahead of a Test match, the Indian team suffered a massive blow as their regular skipper Rohit Sharma has tested positive for Covid-19 and is in quarantine. While only four days are left for the scheduled fifth and final Test match, uncertainty over Rohit's availability for the match remains.

In a recent development, Rohit Sharma's daughter Samaira has given a much-needed update on his father's health as she revealed that her father is taking rest in the room as he tested Covid positive. In an adorable video, which is doing rounds on social media, a reporter in the UK asked Rohit's daughter, who was leaving the hotel with her mother about her father's health update.

In response, Samaira said, "He (Rohit Sharma) is in his room. Taking rest as he got Corona." Ever since the video was posted on social media, it has been winning hearts as the video has already garnered over 30.5K likes and has been retweeted over two thousand times.

Speaking of Rohit, BCCI informed on Saturday that the skipper has tested Covid positive and has been isolated under the close watch of the medical team. Rohit Sharma was a part of the Indian squad in the recently concluded 4-day warm-up game against Leicestershire.

On the last day of the game, Rohit Sharma didn’t take part in the game and later it was revealed that he has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and was asked to stay in isolation. Mayank Agarwal has been included in the Indian Test squad for the fifth and final Test against England, whereas, there is no confirmation on who will captain India in case The Hitman fails to recover in time.
