As the 2023-24 season comes close, all the clubs are busy with various pre-season activities, and Barcelona is no different. The Catalan club were undergoing their medical tests when a funny incident between Ronald Araujo and Pedri Gonzales took place at the medical centre on Monday.
Pedri, who was one of La Liga’s best young players of the 2021-22 season, has been instrumental in Barcelona’s resurgence under coach Xavi Hernandez. The 19-year-old has scored six goals and provided an assist in 26 league appearances, helping the Catalan club to win their 27th league title.
In the viral video, Pedri was standing at the height scale waiting to be measured as Araujo approached him. He said “Por Favour” which means “please” and then went on to measure Pedri’s height and exclaimed “Okay perfect”. This funny interaction between the midfielder and the defender has gone viral on social media platforms, getting more than 8.5k likes on the tweet.

After the medical tests were done, the trio of Araujo, Sergiño Dest, and Rapinha were seen relaxing while sipping on a cup of Mate, along with the traditional metal straw which is called bombilla or bomba. Infused with herbs and high in caffeine, mate is a classic South American beverage, also known as chimarrão or cimarrón .
