After a night to remember for the ages, Kartik Tyagi has announced his arrival at the big stage. While he had been impressive earlier in the U-19 World Cup for India and even a few domestic matches, nothing beats the performance against the Punjab Kings at the Dubai International Stadium on Tuesday. While it did not seem like the most memorable evening after the right-arm pacer conceded 28 in his first 3 overs, he kept believing in himself and produced a last over that is set to be remembered as one of the best final overs in IPL history.

Consequently, Rajasthan registered a 2-run win over Punjab Kings and it was Tyagi who was adjudged the Player of the Match. After starring in the win, the youngster received appreciation and adulation from not only the fans but also his teammates. The 20-year-old who has a characteristic jump in his delivery stride much like the Australian great Brett Lee was referred to as Lee from his captain Samson after the match in a video that is now doing the rounds on the internet.

Meanwhile, Tyagi's U-19 World Cup teammate, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who top-scored in the team's 185 with 49, also seemed immensely happy for his mate and asked the camera to focus on the Man of the Moment - Tyagi for the entire night.

The video has been shared by the official handle of the Rajasthan Royals itself.

"@IamSanjuSamson calls him Lee. We call him KT! ⚡ #PBKSvRR | #HallaBol | #RoyalsFamily | @tyagiktk," the video was captioned.

As a result of the win, the Men in Pink have now reached number five position on the points table with eight points from as many matches. Defending champions Mumbai Indians also have the same number of points but are placed fourth due to a slightly better net run rate.

Meanwhile, the result has drastically shattered the Punjab Kings' chances of securing a Playoffs berth in IPL 2021. In 9 matches, the team now has 6 defeats and only if they win their next five matches do they have some chance of making it to the final four.
