In the ongoing matchup between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, a horrible mix-up between Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson led to a run out of the home team captain. This incident happened on the fourth ball of the 13th over in RR’s pursuit of 155 run target against LSG.

It was Jos Buttler who tucked away an incoming delivery from Ravi Bishnoi to the fine leg fielder Amit Mishra. He ran for the single, but Sanju Samson made a loud call of no to him as they both were looking at each other in the middle of the pitch.

For that split second when Buttler and Samson had stopped running, Amit Mishra, the fielder at fine leg region gathered the ball cleanly and threw it towards the keeper Nicholas Pooran, who inflicted the run out of RR’s skipper. The despairing dive at the striker’s end from Sanju Samson had also gone in vain.

In the post match chat, the RR captain Sanju Samson mentioned that LSG’s total was chaseable and they will take lessons from this loss. He said, “ Not that great (feeling) after a loss, but it's okay. We'd have loved to win the first game at Jaipur. We'll definitely take lessons and move on. With the batting line-up we have, it was a very chaseable score.”
