Mumbai batter Sarfaraz Khan is in the form of his life as the 25-year-old smashed another century in India’s elite domestic tournament, Ranji Trophy. Playing against Delhi on Tuesday, Khan smashed a ton and then celebrated aggressively. Sarfaraz brought out the famous Sidhu Moosewala celebration. The batter gave a pat on his thighs and then pointed his fingers to the sky.

Meanwhile, Mumbai coach Amol Muzumdar also replied to Sarfaraz’s celebration with a special gesture. Muzumdar did the “hats off” gesture to celebrate Khan’s century. The Mumbai coach took his hat off three times.

Notably, Sarfaraz has hit sixteen boundaries and three sixes in his inning of 117 (146). The batter is standing firmly at the crease and staring another double ton. Sarfaraz has now 13 centuries in just 53 First Class innings. The batter averages over 80 and is only second to Sir Don Bradman in terms of the highest averages in FC cricket.

But despite all these incredible runs, Sarfaraz is failing to find a spot in the Indian Test team. The batter failed to find a place in India’s squad for the first two Tests against Australia. With no Rishabh Pant around, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selectors went ahead with Ishan Kishan and Khan missed out yet again. The 25-year-old admitted he felt terrible after the squad was announced.

“When the team was announced and my name wasn't there, I was very sad. Anyone in my place in this world would've been sad, because I had expected to be picked, but wasn't (chosen). Yesterday, I was sad the whole day, when we travelled from Guwahati to Delhi. I was thinking about what and why it happened. I was feeling very lonely. I cried too,” Sarfaraz said in a recent interview with TOI.
