Mumbai batter Sarfaraz Khan, who has been named in India A squad for the two-match Test series against South Africa A, scored a scintillating 61-ball century in the ongoing intra-squad match. With some days off, the Men in Blue are currently playing three-day intra-squad match ahead of the two-match Test series, which kick starts in Centurion from December 26.  

The India A batter, who is representing India in the intra-squad match in Pretoria, slammed a ton against the likes of Ravindra Jadeja, Harshit Rana, among others. It is to be noted that Sarfaraz has established himself in the domestic circuit, being one of the most consistent batters. He scored 556 runs in six games at an average of 92.66 in the Ranji Trophy 2022-23.

However, Khan has proved at several stages, also went unsold in the recently conducted IPL 2024 auctions in Dubai. The 26-year-old, who was released by the Delhi Capitals in the retention window, went unsold at the IPL 2024 auction, despite registering for a base price of INR 20 Lakh.

It is to be noted that Sarfaraz scored just 53 runs from four innings in IPL 2023.
