After a giving a good start alongside skipper Rohit Sharma, Indian opener, Shubman Gill was retired hurt after struggling from cramps. After opting to bat first, India crossed the 150-run mark with Rohit Sharma’s 47-run knock and Gill adding crucial 79 runs before getting retired hurt in the 23rd over of the inning.

The Indian batter was down on the ground after playing the fourth delivery of the 23rd over, being bowled by Mitchell Santner, but struggling from cramps, physio was called to check on Gill. However, minutes later, Gill walked off the field ‘Retired Hurt’ with Shreyas Iyer taking the crease.
Skipper, Rohit Sharma also rushed down from the dressing room to the dugout to check on Gill.
