India and Australia are locking horns in the fourth and final Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. The Men in Blue were back in the game on Day 2 on the back of Ravichandran Ashwin’s six-wicket haul. After ending the Day 2 with the score reading 36/0 in 10 overs, the Rohit Sharma-led started strong on Day 3.

While Rohit Sharma departed for the score of 35, opener Shubman Gill stood firm and completed his second Test century in the second session of Day 3. He notched up his Test hundred in the 62nd over with a four off Todd Murphy. Gill then removed his helmet and raised his bat towards the crowd. He then celebrated the century with his usual bow.

The 23-year-old scored his maiden Test century in Chattogram in December 2022 against Bangladesh. Talking about the match, India are currently trailing by 292 runs with the score reading 188/2 at Tea on Day 3 of the fourth Test. While Gill is batting at 103*, he is joined by Virat Kohli in the middle.
