The highly anticipated Netflix web series 'Khakee: The Bengal Chapter' is set to premiere on March 20, 2025, and ahead of the big day, Sourav Ganguly, one of the greatest cricketers produced by India, took up the mantle to promote it the best possible way. In the promo video, the 52-year-old wore the police uniform, to audition for a role in the crime drama show, and while he didn’t land one, his cameo appearance has more than done its job in promoting it online.

In a lighthearted clip to promote 'Khakee: The Bengal Chapter', which lasted for around 96 seconds, some of the big moments of Sourav Ganguly’s cricketing career where highlighted, including his alleged difference with Greg Chappell, who was the head coach of the Indian cricket team in the mid-2000s. The main highlight of the promo video was the Prince of Kolkata’s affinity to playing strokes on the off side.
