The Sunrisers Eastern Cape continued their winning run in the ongoing SA20 tournament. The Orange Army beat Paarl Royals by five wickets on Thursday (January 19) at the Boland Park. During this win, the franchise owner was also in talks and under limelight.
A spectator was caught on camera with a placard which had a marriage proposal for the Hyderabad-based franchise owner Kaviya Maran. The placard read, “KAVYA MARAN, WILL YOU MARRY ME?” along with a heart emoji. The video of the fan holding the placard with his marriage proposal was also shared on SA20’s official Twitter handle.

Kaviya Maran is the daughter of one of the media giants Kalanithi Maran, the founder of Sun Network. The 30-year-old businesswoman is the front face of the IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad. She also is the owner of the newly formed franchises Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SA20).
