India fast bowler S Sreesanth, who made a comeback to domestic cricket last year, failed to get a buyer in the Indian Premier League auction. However, he took it in his stride and has continued to work hard on his bowling, in a bid to get noticed by franchises. With two more teams joining the auction pool ahead of IPL 2022 who knows perhaps the former World Cup-winning cricketer might get another chance to showcase his skill at the very stage from where he received a ban.

Remembering one of his iconic moments from his IPL career, the Kerala Express shared a Whatsapp status of him getting the better of former India cricketer MS Dhoni, who turned 40 on Wednesday. Sreesanth could be seen bowling a perfect yorker to get rid of the master finisher and then continuing one of his characteristic animated celebrations. The video of his status has surfaced on the internet.

Earlier, in a Facebook post dated July 3, 2020, Sreesanth had revealed why this was a special memory for him. The 38-year-old disclosed since he was coming back after an L2 stress fracture, it meant a lot to him. "Dhoni bhai completely surprised ..esp .me coming after a L2 stress fracture ..God is great..love bowling those yorkers," he had captioned this post.

It remains to be seen whether Sreesanth indeed manages to make a comeback in IPL. With age no longer on his side and franchisees looking to build a team for the future, it might need a few more of those Sreesanth special spells in domestic cricket before the franchises are forced to take a note.
