After the completion of the five-match T20I series against England, the action now shifts towards the ODI-leg of the series. While the first ODI is set to be played at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on Thursday, February 6, the teams, India and England will then travel to Cuttack for the second ODI, scheduled for Sunday, February 9.
Ahead of the second ODI, a stampede-like situation occurred outside the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack as fans and cricket enthusiasts flocked in large numbers to buy tickets. Odisha’s ‘Millenium City’ witnessed chaotic scenes this morning on Wednesday, February 5 as fans gathered in large numbers to buy offline tickets.

Seeing the situation get out of handle, the police was deployed to bring things in control. As per the videos circulating on social media, police was forced to open water guns to get the crowd in control. Moreover, several police personnel were seen using sticks to take charge of the crowd.

As per several reports, close to 15 people at the time of writing fell unconscious after the stampede-like situation broke out at the designated ticket counters outside the stadium. As per the schedule, the offline tickets sale for India versus England second ODI began at 9:00 am on Wednesday. As of writing, approximately 9,000 tickets were already sold to OCA employees and institutions associated with the state cricket association, whereas 4,000 tickets were made available for sale offline.
