After the Melbourne derby ended in favour of the Stars, who defeated the Renegades by eight wickets on the DLS method, the newly engaged couple met the global cricketing superstar Glenn Maxwell at the MCG. Meanwhile, the official X account posted the picture of the newly engaged couple alongside Glenn Maxwell, captioning it, “Got engaged and met Maxi. Not a bad night for these two! #BBL13”
One of the biggest nights of the year in the BBL was shortened to a 14-over-a-side contest between the city rivals Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades at the MCG. The Renegades were reduced to 97/7 with all except one of the opposition bowlers chipping in with wickets before the Stars chased down the target in just 12 overs with the opener Thomas Rogers and the captain Glenn Maxwell notching up quick-fire innings.
