MS Dhoni may have been born in Ranchi but is the adopted of Chennai or so it seems from the love and warmth he receives from his fans in the capital of Tamil Nadu. The former India captain has been associated with the Chennai Super Kings since the inception of the tournament and this is the first year that he is not the full-time captain of the franchise since 2008.

While he may have hung up his leadership boots, "Thala" Dhoni as they call him in Chennai has not forgotten how to finish off a match. The same was on display during Mumbai Indians' clash against Chennai at the DY Patil Stadium on Thursday.

The match went down to the wire and the Men in Yellow eventually needed 16 from 4 deliveries with MSD on strike. Dhoni finished off the game by hitting a six, following with a boundary and a two, and then smashing the last ball for a four in Jaydev Unadkat's last over to show why he is hailed as one of the best finishers of all time.

The victory gave enormous joy to Chennai fans and a video doing the rounds on the internet is a testimony to that. The video shows a typical household celebrating as soon as Dhoni hit the last ball for four.

Have a look at the celebration from the family here:

As a result of the victory, Chennai Super Kings now have 4 points from 7 matches but continue to be at the ninth position on the points table. Things are looking worse for Mumbai Indians who were handed their seventh straight defeat and continue to languish at the bottom-most position at the points table with no points at all to their credit.

Chennai's next assignment will be against Punjab Kings on Monday at the Wankhede Stadium. Mumbai, meanwhile, will play Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday.
