Laying all the speculations to rest, Tiger Woods hinted at a comeback to the golf course with a short little video on social media. The legendary golfer could be seen swinging a wedge in a three-second video which was captioned "Making progress" and that was all it took to get every golf fan and critic talking.

While the USA star had refused to make a public comment on the injuries he sustained from his accident on February 23 in Los Angeles since May, he had not spoken about the same on social media. Even when he chose to, he was economical with his words and the length of his video but managed to make an immense impact with his post.

In the video, Woods was seen wearing a black compression sleeve on his right leg with a large bucket half-filled with golf balls as he looked in the middle of a practice session. The video also shows a launch monitor in front of him that measures metrics like distance and ball speed.

Notably, Woods was already recovering from a back problem when he met a car accident as his SUV toppled down a steep hill on a winding, sweeping road in the Los Angeles suburbs. Doctors had revealed that he shattered the tibia and fibula bones on his right leg at multiple locations which was a scary situation as far as his sporting career is concerned. Meanwhile, several pins, screws and rods were placed to stabilise his foot including the ankle and foot.

In an earlier interview with Golf Digest, Woods described the rehabilitation from this surgery as "more painful than anything I have ever experienced." His sporting comeback looked like a distant dream as sensed in this interview on May 27. In his own words, his priority was to be able to walk on his own leave aside from making a comeback.

Woods has had 10 surgeries - four on his left knee, five on his lower back and the recent one earlier this year after the accident. It is still not clear when he will be able to come back to competitive golf.
