While the Premier League season may have come to an end, Kevin De Bruyne is on international duty with Belgium. And after De Bruyne won the English top-tier league with City, he is not having a particularly impressive week. While he has not shied away from making his dislike against UEFA Nations League clear, results haven't gone in Belgium's way either.

For instance, Belgium faced a 1-4 defeat against the Netherlands on Friday. Another reason why Kevin De Bruyne looked unpleased was when he was nutmegged by TikTok freestyler Martijn Debbaut. Notably, while on national duty, Bryune was also taking time out to help with KDB Cup which is a youth tournament that he runs.

As part of the promotional event for this competition, Kevin De Bruyne had to do a little dribble contest with Martijn Debbaut but in their informal little face-off, it was the latter who managed to trick Bruyne and nutmeg the City star. Moreover, Debbaut managed to keep the possession of the ball which irked the midfielder.

Kevin De Bruyne refers Nations League as ‘glorified friendlies’

Earlier Kevin De Bruyne had rated Nations League as "glorified friendlies" while also saying that he was not looking forward to it.

"Two weeks is too long. Well, as a player we can’t change that much. I’m not exactly looking forward to it," Kevin De Bruyne had said at a press conference earlier.

"The Nations League is unimportant in my eyes. Just glorified friendlies after a long and tough season. I am not looking forward to it. Anyways, we can say that we want more rest."

Nevertheless, Belgium will play against Poland in the UEFA Nations Cup later on Wednesday night at the King Baudouin Stadium. The match will begin at 12:15 AM (Thursday) as per Indian Standard Time (IST).
