American tennis star Frances Tiafoe, who is in Japan to play the Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships in Tokyo next week, met the Golden State Warriors (GSW) point guard and reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry during his team's preseason game against Washington Wizards on Friday night in Japan.

After beating World No.3 Rafael Nadal in the US Open 2022 Round of 16, American tennis sensation Frances Tiafoe went on to reach the semi-final, where he lost to current World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz on September 10.

On the other side, Steph Curry made six points with one three-pointer to help his team win the game against Wizards 96-87 at the  Saitama Super Arena. The two sides will face each other for another preseason outing on Sunday morning.

After their opening preseason game, Frances Tiafoe had a chance to meet the Dubs point guard, 'one of the coldest celebrities' and hit his popular 'night, night' celebration. The San Francisco based NBA franchise took to Twitter to post a video of both the athletes and wrote, " Tiafoe really hit the Night, Night πŸ’€". Tiafoe retweeted with caption, "Had to one of the coldest cellys I’ve seen 🀞🏿🀞🏿🀞🏿 "

Tiafoe had a superb summer after reaching the US Open 2022 semifinals and winning the Laver Cup 2022 title for Team World last weekend. Now, the 24-year-old American will participate in the ATP 500 event in Japan.

Talking about the NBA preseason, GSW will host LeBron James' LA Lakers at the  Chase Center on October 10 before playing Portland Trail Blazers at home on October 12 and Denver Nuggets on the concluding day of the preseason games.
