Kolkata Knight Riders opener Venkatesh Iyer seemed to be in a lot of pain as he hurt his back while facing Lucknow Super Giants' Krishnappa Gowtham. After winning the toss, the Knight Riders restricted the Super Giants to a decent 176-run total.

Then in the second innings,  Knight Riders got off to a blistering start on the back of a brilliant Jason Roy knock. But as  Venkatesh Iyer tried to increase his scoring rate against  Gowtham, he attempted a   slog towards the leg side and lost his shape completely.
