As Delhi Capitals lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad in match 20 of IPL 2021, the former team have a chance of grabbing the number 2 spot in the table, courtesy to RCB’s 70-run defeat to CSK. After a great opening partnership by both the DC batsmen, what grabbed the eyeballs was Vijay Shankar’s unorthodox and strange no-ball to Rishabh Pant.

In the 13th over of the game, Warner handed all-rounder Vijay Shankar the ball who gave only 3 runs in his first 4 balls. Subsequently on the next ball that Shankar delivered, the ball slipped out of his fingers and went at least 20 meters high before it could eventually come down from the sky and reach Pant. It was adjudged as a waist high full-toss rather than a dead-ball, resulting in a free-hit delivery on the next ball.

Although the on-field umpires did hold a talk with one another before calling it a no-ball, the decision made SRH skipper David Warner unhappy. Talking about Vijay Shankar, in his 3-over spell, he hasn't taken ay wickets and has conceded 19 runs so far.

After losing the first 3 consecutive games, SRH finally won their first game of the IPL 2021 season against Punjab Kings in dominating fashion, having led by Jonny Bairstow. It remains to be seen whether the side from Hyderabad will be able to string a series of consecutive wins now or was it just a one-time case for them.

As of the current scenario in this particular game, after Prithvi Shaw’s blistering knock of 53 runs off just 39 balls set the stage for Delhi Capitals, as the side eventually posted 159/4 in their stipulated quota of 20 overs.
