Liverpool scored two quick goals in the first 15 minutes, thanks to Darwin Nunez and Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who made a critical mistake in the box and gifted an easy goal to Mohamed Salah. However, Los Blancos star winger Vinicius Jr. responded strongly with his 21st minute strike and then forced his Brazil teammate Allison Becker to commit a grave error.

Becker tried to pass the ball to the defender on his right, but ended up hitting slow-running Vinicius' feet and the ball deflected towards the goal. After scoring the equaliser at the Anfield, the 22-year-old Brazilian hit the Cristiano Ronaldo celebration to mock the Liverpool fans.
