On Tuesday, June 3, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 title clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to end their 17-year trophy drought. The Rajat Patidar-led side, who were coming after a win over PBKS in the Qualifier 1, continued to dominate them, defending 190 runs.

For the unversed, PBKS won the toss and elected to bowl first. After being put to bat first by PBKS skipper, on the back of Virat Kohli’s 43 off 35, RCB posted 190 on the board at the loss of nine wickets. However, it then seemed a comparatively below par total, RCB defended it, courtesy a brilliant bowling spell from Krunal Pandya.
