15th August, 2021, Sunday, marks the 75th Independence Day of India as it was in 1947 when the freedom fighters of the country released it form the clutches of the Britishers, making it an independent nation. Given the significance of feat, the day is celebrated in India with great enthusiasm and honour. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic prevalent in the country, the citizens made it sure that they rejoice every bit of the day at least on social media if not outdoors. Meanwhile, the sports fraternity was also on the front seat when it came to celebrating the day. From cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar Tendulkar to football star Sunil Chhetri, everyone took to social media to share posts on the memorable day for the nation.
Amidst all, Virat Kohli and company, who are currently in England playing the second Test of the five-match series against the host nation, didn't miss the celebratory moment. Ahead of Day 4's play on Sunday, the Indian contingent hoisted the Indian flag in England and sung the national anthem before capping off the moment with the slogan: "Bharat Mata Ki Jai."
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to social media to share the video of the moment. In the video, captain Virat Kohli could be seen hoisting the Indian flag with head coach Ravi Shastri accompanying him, while the rest of the Indian contingent were clapping.

England in driver's seat by Lunch on Day 4
After getting a slender lead of 27 runs, England capitalised on the opportunity to make a game out of it in the first session on Day 4. Before India could take the lead, KL Rahul lost his wicket to Mark Wood at his individual score of 5. The visitors managed to add only 9 runs after the wicket before they lost Rohit Sharma (21) as well. Things seemed to have settled down a bit for India when skipper Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara took the charge at the ends of the wickets, however, Sam Curran then trapped Kohli (20) and reduced India to 55/3. With a small lead of just 29 runs by Lunch, it wouldn't be wrong to say that England are in a dominating position.
