Following Virat Kohli’s retirement from Test cricket, the legendary batter has been getting praised from all over the cricketing fraternity. Now, his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma also came up with a message for the 36-year-old after he called off his career in red-ball cricket. Rajkumar hailed Kohli for his contribution to the Indian Test team and also confirmed that he will be playing the 2027 ODI World Cup for India.

Rajkumar Sharma said that it was heartbreaking for him to see Virat Kohli retiring from the longest format of the game. "I salute him for his tremendous contribution to Indian Cricket and as a coach, I am proud of him for what he has done for the country and the example he has set for the youngsters. Emotionally, it hurts that we won't be seeing him in whites again for the country. I appreciate and back his decision...Hopefully, he will be there to win the ODI World Cup for India and he will be 100 percent committed to it" Rajkumar told ANI.
