The IPL 2023 fixture between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians got off to a strange start as GT batter Wriddhiman Saha took a review after the DRS timer got over. With 12 runs on the board, Saha tried to score Arjun Tendulkar's short ball towards the leg side.

The West Bengal keeper missed the ball which went straight into Ishan Kishan's hands. Tendulkar appealed and the umpire gave it out. Puzzled about opting for the review, Saha and Shubhman Gill had a long discussion which went past the stipulated DRS timer. Then Saha showed the T-sign opting for the review to the umpire and eventually given out.

But this wicket didn't hinder Gujarat Titans' batting effort as the defending champs managed to post a massive total of 207 runs. The true catalyst behind this total was Abhinav Manohar, who scored a blistering 42 in 21 balls.

Reacting to this performance and the partnership with David Miller,  Abhinav Manohar spoke about how he had a conversation with Ashish Nehra during timeout, where the plan was to play free-flowing cricket.

He said, "I went in when a few wickets fell, we had the timeout. Ashu pa came in and told me to carry the game for three overs, if it's in your zone hit it, if not knock it around for singles, we can make up the runs in the end because we have the firepower to do that. That's what me and Miller spoke about and it paid off.  There was an effort to actually to get more runs in the middle overs."
