India are in their prime form as they went onto take their lead past 500 runs in the ongoing third Test in Rajkot. While Sarfaraz Khan brought his back-to-back fifties in his debut Test appearance, Yashasvi Jaiswal completed his second double hundred on Day 4 of the third Test. After getting retired hurt on Day 3 at the score of 104, Jaiswal took the field after Shubman Gill’s bizarre run-out to cross the 200-run mark.
The Indian opener reached his second double ton on the first delivery of the 97th over off Joe Root. Soon after taking a single, Jaiswal took off his helmet and raised both his arms in a V-formation to soak in the celebrations. Not only Jaiswal, his teammate in the middle, Sarfaraz Khan also raised his arms to celebrate Jaiswal’s feat. Check the top betting trends on the best betting sites in India and apps.
Jaiswal’s ton also earned him accolades from his teammates in the dugout, including skipper Rohit Sharma. Even England Head Coach Brendon McCullum was seen applauding the youngster. With this, Jaiswal became third youngest to score two double tons at the age of 22 years and 49 days, after Vinod Kambi (21 years 54 days) and Don Bradman (21 years 318 days).
