Pep Guardiola made double substitutions in the 60th minute as Riyad Mahrez came on for Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden was replaced by Jack Grealish, who assisted Mahrez from the left wing.
On Thursday's game, defending champions Man City dominated Chelsea in possession and total shots, and fans recalled the Blues' last victory against the City in the UEFA Champions League final in 2021.
