After losing to Manchester City by 1-0 on Thursday's Premier League game, Chelsea have lost all of their last four ties against the Pep Guardiola's side while Man City have maintained a clean sheet in each of the four games. With the loss Chelsea dropped down to the 10th spot in the league standings and fans recalled the time when Thomas Tuchel was the Blues' manager.

Manchester City defeated Chelsea 1-0 as Riyad Mahrez' 63rd minute strike was enough to win the game at the Stamford Bridge. Pep Guardiola made double substitutions in the 60th minute as Riyad Mahrez came on for Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden was replaced by Jack Grealish, who assisted Mahrez from the left wing.

On Thursday's game, defending champions Man City dominated Chelsea in possession and total shots, and fans recalled the Blues' last victory against the City in the UEFA Champions League final in 2021. Many fans took to Twitter to show their frustration with the current management and remembered Chelsea's captivating days under German manager Tuchel.

After losing the game against Manchester City on Thursday, Chelsea coach Graham Potter said, "It was a spirited performance against a top team, so apart from the result I'm proud of the players."

In September, 2022, Chelsea faced a disappointing defeat in their UEFA Champions League opener against Croatian Football club Dinamo Zagreb that led to then-coach Thomas Tuchel's sacking by the club. Later, Graham Potter was announced as the new Chelsea manager while Tuchel is still without a club.
