The Washington Commanders finally managed to end their four-game losing streak after a scrappy 12-7 win at Soldier Field in Chicago against the Bears. Quarterback Carson Wentz had an incredible 99-yard game. But what transpired after this fixture has taken the internet by storm as Washington coach Ron Riveria had a heated argument with the press when questions regarding Wentz were asked.

In the post-game media interaction, Rivera was asked about a recent ESPN report that talked about the Commander’s reaction to trade for Wentz this offseason was spear-headed by owner Dan Snyder and not the coach. The report stated that Snyder wanted a “marquee” quarterback which would protect him from the repercussions of his other off-field issues.

After the question, Rivera had an explosive reaction as he first defended his players by addressing how they have been giving their 100% on the field with no complaints, despite a poor start. Then the former Carolina Panthers coach lashed out at the report as he stated that he had done all due diligence before that trade and that Wentz doesn’t deserve this treatment before storming out of the press conference.

He said, "Everybody keeps wanting to say I didn't want anything to do with Carson. Well, bulls***. I'm the f***ing guy that pulled out the sheets of paper, looked at the analytics, watched the tape when we were in Indianapolis. And that's what pisses me off. Because the young man doesn't deserve to have that all the time. I'm sorry, I'm done."

The comments by Ron Rivera come after the coach had some major criticism for Wentz after the first five games. He addressed how the former Philadelphia Eagles QB needs to avoid silly penalties and mistakes and hopefully be more consistent in a Quarterback-driven league.
