India took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series against Australia after the second innings got reduced to 33 overs due to rain. The match saw the revised target for Aussies set to 317 with DLS method coming into play. On the other hand, India Women, who are making their maiden appearance in cricket at the Asian Games will take on Sri Lanka Women in the final, eyeing for a gold medal finish.

The India n  women will lock horns with Sri Lanka women in the final of the Asian Games 2023 on Monday, September 25. In their respective semi-final clashes, the Women in Blue registered an eight-wicket victory over Bangladesh, whereas Sri Lanka are coming off on the back of a six-wicket win over Pakistan women in a thrilling semifinal on September 24, Sunday.

Bangladesh Women beat Pakistan Women to settle for bronze in Asian Games 2023
The Nigar Sultana-led side settled for a bronze medal finish after they beat Pakistan Women in the third-place match at the Asian Games 2023. The side restricted Nida Dar-led side to 64/9 in the 20 overs and then went on to win the match by five wickets and secure the bronze.

Babar Azam’s father responds to Mohammad Asif’s ‘I can bowl maiden over’ remark
Babar Azam’s father Azam Siddiqui responded to a statement by former Pakistan seamer Mohammad Asif. Siddiqui clarified that that Azam played the maiden over out of respect during his U16 days after Asif remarked that he “can bowl a maiden over to Babar Azam even today”.
