Punjab Minister and AAP leader Harbhajan Singh announced a prize money of INR 1 Crore for the hockey players hailing from Punjab, who were part of the bronze medal winning team at the Paris Olympics 2024. “We are happy as the Indian Hockey team has won the bronze medal at the Olympics. The Punjab Government has decided to give Rs 1 crore each to Indian hockey team player from Punjab,” Harbhajan told ANI. It is to be noted that the Indian men’s hockey team made history by securing back-to-back bronze medals at Olympics for the first time in 52 years.
