The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is just round the corner and the picture of who will feature in the opening games for their respective franchises is also getting clearer with each passing day. However, Rishabh Pant has been given clearance to resume wicket-keeping by the BCCI, Prasidh Krishna became the latest player to be ruled out of the IPL, joining the list of injured players.

Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka 1st ODI

After the conclusion of the three-match T20I series, Bangladesh will host Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series, starting March 13. The opening match of the series will be played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram from 2:00 p.m. IST. The Najmul Hossain Shanto-led side is coming after a 1-2 series defeat in the T20I series after they lost the third match by 28 runs.

In the last league-stage clash of the Indian Premier League, Delhi Capitals Women will go head-to-head against Gujarat Giants. Delhi Capitals Women currently sit at the top spot in the standings with five out of seven wins, whereas Gujarat, like previous year, are at the bottom-most spot, and are likely to finish the year on the same note. While Delhi is just a win away from securing their playoff spot, Gujarat would aim to finish the season on a victorious note.

The fight for the Women's Premier League 2024 playoffs intensified with Ellyse Perry inspiring the Royal Challengers Bangalore Women to beat Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians Women by seven wickets on Tuesday. In the WPL 2024 match no. 19, Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry dismantled MI Women's batting lineup as RCB bowled out MI on 113 runs in 19 overs.

Rishabh Pant 'fit' to return to IPL as wicketkeeper-batter

BCCI has declared Rishabh Pant fit for the upcoming IPL 2024 and has been cleared for wicketkeeping roles. “After undergoing an extensive 14-month rehab and recovery process, following a life-threatening road mishap on December 30th, 2022, near Roorkee, Uttarakhand, Rishabh Pant has now been declared fit as a wicket-keeper batter for upcoming TATA IPL 2024,” the BCCI wrote. 

Suryakumar Yadav to miss initial games for MI in IPL 2024: Reports

The five-time champions Mumbai Indians have been handed a massive blow ahead of IPL 2024. The Hardik Pandya-led side will miss Suryakumar Yadav in the initial games. “Surya’s rehabilitation is on track and he will certainly ‘Return to Play’ in the IPL. However, it is not clear whether NCA’s Sports Science and Medical team will give clearance to play in the first two game,” a BCCI source told PTI.

Prasidh Krishna ruled out of IPL 2024; BCCI shares update

Rajasthan Royals will miss the services of star Indian pacer Prasidh Krishna in the upcoming IPL 2024. The 28-year-old pacer underwent a surgery on February 23 on his left quadriceps tendon and has been ruled out of the upcoming edition. “He is currently being monitored by the BCCI Medical Team and will resume rehab at the National Cricket Academy soon,” the BCCI wrote in its release.

Babar Azam “not satisfied” after being demoted to No. 3 position

Babar Azam expressed his dissatisfaction on being demoted to No. 3 position in the Pakistan batting lineup. Speaking on the sidelines of PSL, he said, “I don’t feel or take any pressure whenever I open the innings. The team was demanding me to come down to No. 3 and I did it for the team.” But when asked of his personal preference, he added, “I was not satisfied.”
