In the warm-up game between West Indies and Australia ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, the World Cup co-hosts beat the mighty Aussies by 35 runs. Windies wicketkeeper-batter Nicholas Pooran smashed eight sixes and five fours as he registered 75 runs in just 25 balls while skipper Rovman Powell smashed 52 off 25 followed by Shurfane Rutherford's unbeaten 47-off-18. For the Aussies, Adam Zampa picked up two wickets but gave away 62 runs in his four overs.
