The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League has completed 16 matches, recording two of the highest team totals in the history of the competition. All 10 teams have played at least three matches in the IPL 2024 with KKR and RR at the top two spots respectively, winning all their three matches so far while MI are yet to win a game.

Shubman Gill's Gujarat Titans are scheduled to host Shikhar Dhawan-led Punjab Kings in the 17th match of the IPL 2024 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Both GT and PBKS have played three matches each with Gujarat winning two and the latter winning a game. In the IPL 2024 standings, the Titans are placed fifth while the Kings have managed the seventh spot.

Sunil Narine powers Kolkata to massive 106-run win over Delhi

KKR registered a massive 106-run win over DC after scoring the second-highest score in IPL history. KKR's Sunil Narine scored 85 in 39 balls while youngster Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored a half-century in his first IPL innings. The cameos from Andre Russell, Shreyas Iyer, and Rinku Singh took the score to 272. For the Capitals, Rishabh Pant and Tristan Stubbs batted as lone warriors scoring 55 in 25 and 54 in 32 respectively but no other batter managed to stay in the middle. With this disappointing batting effort, Delhi were bundled out for 166 in 17.2 overs.

Shivam Mavi ruled out of IPL 2024 due to injury

The KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have received a massive blow after their 28-run win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Tuesday, April 2. Their IPL 2024 signing, right-arm pacer Shivam Mavi has been ruled out of the ongoing edition with an injury.  The 25-year-old, who joined the Lucknow-based franchise after a fiery battle on the auction table with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), was signed for INR 6.40 Crore.

Rohit Sharma to leave MI after IPL 2024: Reports

Mumbai Indians’ former captain Rohit Sharma is reportedly not happy with the captaincy of  Hardik Pandya in the IPL 2024. According to the reports, the veteran batter will leave the Mumbai Indians after the completion of the season. Notably, Sharma led the side to their five trophies in his term spanning over a decade. Ahead of the IPL 2024, the current India captain was replaced by former Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya as the captain of the Neeta Ambani-owned franchise.

After three consecutive losses, Mumbai Indians have received a massive boost as Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav has been reportedly declared fit by the National Cricket Academy. The World No.1 T20I batter has been out of action since India's tour to South Africa, where he captained the Men in Blue in the T20I series. As quoted by the Indian Express, a source in the BCCI confirmed that SKY is fit and had to undergo three tests to prove his fitness.

Mustafizur Rahman set to miss CSK’s match against SRH in IPL 2024: Reports

In the next match in IPL 2024, where Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday, April 5, the side might miss the services of Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman. As per reports, the Bangladesh pacer has flown to his home country to process his US visa ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, which will be hosted jointly in the West Indies and the United States of America in June.
