After the conclusion of the league stage of the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the action shifted to the playoffs, where the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) continued their domination, registering a comprehensive eight-wicket win over SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) to advance to the final. With this the Shreyas Iyer-led side will make their fourth appearance in the IPL final, the SRH on the other hand will take on the winner of Rajasthan Royals versus Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Qualifier 2 in Chennai.

With this victory, KKR continued the trend of winning Qualifier 1 and now are one step away from winning their third title. On the other hand, the Sunrisers will have to ponder as they will now take on the winner of the Eliminator between RR and RCB.
