Parul Chaudhary registered her personal best timing of 9:27:63 to win the silver medal in the women’s 3000m steeplechase final for India, behind Winfred Yavi of Bahrain, who secured the gold medal with the Asian Games record of 9:18:28. Priti Lamba, the teammate of Parul Chaudhary, clinched the bronze medal in the same event with her personal best timing of 9:43:32.
Ayhika and Sutirtha Mukherjee settle for bronze in women’s doubles table tennis
After their monumental win against the Chinese pairing in the quarter final of the women’s doubles table tennis at the Asian Games 2023, Ayhika and Sutirtha Mukherjee of India lost the semi final against Sugyong Pak and Suyog Cha of North Korea, to settle for the bronze medal. The seven game thriller ended with the scoreline of 11-7, 8-11, 11-7, 8-11, 9-11, 11-5, 2-11, after Pak and Cha took control of the match in the final game against Ayhika and Sutirtha.
India men’s and women’s team win bronze in speed skating 3000m relay at the Asian Games 2023
The Indian men’s team of Vikram Rajendra Ingale, Siddhant Rahul Kamble, Anandkumar Velkumar, and Aryanpal Singh Ghuman clocked an incredible time of 4:10:28 in the speed skating 3000m relay to win bronze medal, ahead of Chinese Taipei and South Korea. Earlier, the Indian women’s team of Karthika Jagadeeswaran, Heeral Sadhu, Aarathy Kasturi Raj, and Sanjana Bathula clocked a decent timing of 4:34:861 to get their hands on the bronze medal in the speed skating 3000m relay.
