India wins first gold at Asian Games 2023 in men’s 10m air rifle team event

In the men’s 10m air rifle team event, Team India, composed of Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil, and Divyansh Singh Panwar won the first gold for the country at the Asian Games 2023. The trio set a new world record of 1893.7 points in the team event, eclipsing the previous best from China (1893.3) set at the World Championships last month.

Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar won the bronze medal in the men’s 10m air rifle individual event piping his teammate Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil, who finished in fourth place. Also, the team of Vijayveer Sidhu, Anish and Adarsh Singh won the bronze medal in the men’s 25m rapid fire pistol event, on the virtue of scoring a higher number of inner 10s, after they were tied on 1718 points with Indonesia.

Rowing brings two bronze medals for India on day two of Asian Games 2023

The team of Jaswinder Singh, Bheem Singh, Punit Kumar, and Ashish Goliyan secured the first bronze medal in rowing on day two of the Asian Games 2023 in the men’s four final A, with a timing of 6:10:81, missing out on silver with a fraction of a second.
