On this day, March 30, 2025: Rajasthan Royals win a thriller against Chennai Super Kings. It was the 11th match of IPL 2025 between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings at Guwahati. Rajasthan Royals were batting first and lost their opener Jaiswal early but Nitish Rana came on and counter attacked immediately. He put up a partnership with Sanju Samson where they took Rajasthan to 86 within eight overs before Sanju Samson was dismissed. Nitish Rana dominated the partnership and continued his onslaught as Riyan Parag joined him.
Nitish Rana smashed 81 runs of just 36 balls before getting dismissed by Ashwin. His innings had five sixes and ten fours and it was an outstanding effort from the left-hand batter. Riyan Parag scored 37 runs of 28 balls but Rajasthan Royals did not have a good finish to their innings as they ended up with 182/9 at the end of the first innings. They had an excellent start but in the last overs they could not do much damage. It was a par score on that surface. For Chennai Super Kings, Noor Ahmed and Pathirana were the pick of the bowlers as both of them scalped two wickets.

Chasing the target, Chennai Super Kings lost Rachin Ravindra early but Rahul Tripathi and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad put up a good partnership. Tripathi was dismissed for 23 runs off 19 balls. Ruturaj Gaikwad smashed 63 runs as he kept Chennai Super Kings in the chase. The match was in the balance as the surface was good for batting and it was turning out to be a good chase.
Rajasthan Royals bowlers bounced back in the latter half of the innings as they picked up wickets regularly. Ravindra Jadeja smashed 32 runs but it was too little too late. Rajasthan Royals held their nerve as they restricted Chennai Super Kings to 176/6 at the end of the innings as they won the thrilling match by six runs. This match ebbed and flowed all the way through but in the end it was RR who came out on the winning side.
