The Royal Challengers Bengaluru began their 2026 campaign on a winning note with a comfortable win against the dangerous Sunrisers Hyderabad. Central to the winning act was Virat Kohli, who batted like a king courtesy a fluent 69. He remained unbeaten.

But in the stands, whilst in attendance was a spiritually glowing sight for one doesn’t quite know how else to put it.

In what can be described as a sight of peace amid the action packed scenes, a subtle yet meaningful shift in personal spirituality appears to be reflected in the lives of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. The latter has recently been seen wearing a Tulsi mala—widely believed to have been gifted by the revered spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj—symbolizing devotion and a connection to Vaishnav traditions.

Interestingly, Kohli, too, has been spotted wearing a similar Tulsi mala during public appearances. While neither has explicitly spoken at length about this choice, the gesture aligns with their increasingly visible spiritual inclinations, including visits to saints and participation in devotional practices.

In many Hindu traditions, the Tulsi mala holds deep religious significance, often associated with purity, protection, and unwavering faith.

For both Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, it seems to represent more than a symbolic accessory—it reflects a quieter, perhaps more introspective dimension of their lives beyond the public spotlight.
