What is the Smash Rule in PUBG Mobile World Cup 2025?
The Smash Rule is not new in PUBG Mobile esports, but it will be followed first time in the World Cup. This rule was introduced to make the grand finals more thrilling.
The Smash Rule in PMWC 2025 will be applied on Grand Finals Day 3. Teams will play regular matches until one team reaches a certain number of points, called the Match Point. This number is set as Top #1 points after Match 12 + 10 points.
For example, let's say after Match 12, the team in 1st place (Top 1) has 115 points. So, the Match Point becomes: 115 (Top 1's points) + 10 = 125 points.
Once a team reaches this point total, they become “Match Point Eligible.” After that, the first team (Match Point Eligible team) to get a WWCD (Winner Winner Chicken Dinner) will be declared the winner.
A maximum of six matches will be played in this stage. If no eligible team wins a match by the end, then the team with the highest points overall will be the champion.
PUBG Mobile World Cup 2025: Schedule, Teams, and More
PUBG Mobile World Cup 2025 will take place from July 25 to August 3. The top eight teams from the group stage will advance to the grand finals, while the remaining 16 teams will fight in the survival stage for the last eight remaining slots. The top eight teams from the survival stage will join the already qualified eight teams from the group stage, and they will compete for the trophy in the Grand Finals from August 1 to 3, 2025.
