The T20
World Cup Cricket for Blind 2022 has reached to its final stage. It was started
on December 5 at Tau Devi Lal Indoor Stadium, Gurugram, with Yuvraj Singh as
the brand ambassador. A total of five cities were the host of the tournament consisting
of six teams, Australia, Bangladesh, Nepal, South Africa, Sri Lanka and India.
Cricket
Association for the Blind in India (CABI) and Samarthanam Trust for the disabled
have been organizing the showpiece event since 2012. The ongoing World Cup is
the third edition of the tournament.
India,
Bangladesh, South Africa and Sri Lanka reached the semi-finals of the 2022
edition. Then, India won by 207 runs against Proteas, while Bangladesh
prevailed over Sri Lanka by 64 runs. The Men in Blue will lock horns with Tigers
on Saturday, December 17 at 8:30 AM at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
