The seventh season of the England’s T20 cricket extravaganza , Vitality Blast T20 is all set to return from May 30 with Lancashire Lightning squaring off against Durham at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Manchester. The tournament comprises of 18 teams, who will be playing 133 matches in the span of four months.

In the 2023 season of the T20 blast, Lewis Gregory-led Somerset ran-in to Essex in the summit clash by 14 runs to clinch the elusive title. For the champions, Sean Dickson scored a valiant 53 before Ish Sodhi’s triple strikes put down Simon Harmer’s side in a fitting finale. 

In the upcoming season, the teams are divided into two groups of North and South Split and the teams are scheduled to play 14 games in the whole season. Seven games will be played at the home ground and as many matches will be played at an away venue. The teams are divided into two groups as: 

North Group: Birmingham Bears, Derbyshire Falcons, Durham, Lancashire Lightning, Leicestershire Foxes, Northants Steelbacks, Notts Outlaws, Worcestershire Rapids, Yorkshire Vikings 

South Group: Essex Eagles, Glamorgan, Gloucestershire, Hampshire Hawks, Kent Spifires, Middlesex, Somerset, Surrey, Sussex Sharks
