The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a one-of-a-kind tournament. Not only does it involve cricketers from around the world but as a business model, it involves top entrepreneurs, businessmen as well as Bollywood celebrities. One such celebrity-studded team is the Kolkata Knight Riders who not only have star cricketers but have superstar Shah Rukh Khan as its co-owner along with actress Juhi Chawla and her businessman husband Jay Mehta.
Even as Shah Rukh and Juhi continue to remain associated with the team, their kids were spotted at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. While Shah Rukh's kids Aryan and Suhana stayed away from giving an interview during the bidding war in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13, it was Juhi and Jay's daughter Jahnavi Mehta who addressed the media and seemed to know quite a bit about the team's auction strategy and the sport and cricketers, in general.

And now her mother Juhi Chawla has posted a heartfelt message for her on social media. Juhi recalls in this Instagram post how Jahnavi's love for the game started and how her face lights up whenever cricket is discussed. She even thanked KKR CEO Venky Mysore for allowing Jahnavi to participate in important discussions and express her views.
"Ever since she was a little girl, Jahnavi didn’t just watch IPL, she began to watch cricket. Listening intently to the commentators, she began to understand the intricacies of the game. When she was about 12 years old, we were in Bali on a family holiday. At the hotel was a coffee table book," Chawla wrote in her Instagram post.

"It had the life stories, achievements, records, a sort of almanac, of allllll the cricketers of the world. In the few days that we spent at the hotel, she sat at the poolside gazebo and read that book cover to cover! As the years have passed her interest in the game has only increased," she added.
“When cricket is discussed, her face lights up, she is happy and enthused. Her knowledge on the topic, is to me, astounding. It is extremely kind of Mr. Venky Mysore, our CEO who allows her to participate in important discussions and even encourages her to voice her views. As a mother, I feel blessed, happy and proud of the little girl. She is extremely bright, has a long way to go, with God’s grace, she is on her way,” she further said.
The Kolkata Knight Riders reached the finals of IPL 2021 but will look to make a fresh start this year with a new captain Shreyas Iyer at the helm of affairs.
