IPL 2022 will start on March 26 with defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) taking on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the tournament opener. A total of 70 league matches will be held in the tournament with each of the ten teams playing 14 league matches each. This will include seven home and seven away games. Just like the previous editions, the 15th season will have four playoffs, followed by the final. The ten franchises have been divided into two groups on the basis of their number of championship titles and the number of finals they have played.

When will the tickets be available?

The tickets will be available for sale on the above mentioned websites very soon. Fans can buy the tickets for the tournament as and when they are made available. The venues are already confirmed for the league phases of the tournament.

Where are the matches being held?

Notably, Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium are the designated venues in Mumbai, while the MCA International Stadium in Pune will be the other venue. The venue for the playoff matches will be decided later.

It should be noted that Group A consists of Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and the Lucknow Super Giants, while Group B consists of Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings and the Gujarat Titans.
