Team India announced their squad for the South Africa tour for all the three series, which is set to start on 10th December. Indian opener Shubman Gill who has scored most ODI runs in 2023 is not part of the three-match ODI series, which is set to be played against South Africa, which means Gill has already played his last ODI game of this year against Australia in 2023 CWC Final. 

Shubman Gill despite not being impressive in 2023 World Cup has managed to score 1584 runs from 29 innings at an average of 63.36 and a strike rate of 105.45. He has smashed five centuries and nine fifties in this calendar year in the 50-over format.
