24-year-old Tarra Norris became the first bowler to clinch a  five-wicket haul in the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League during a game against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday. The 2nd match of the Women’s Premier League 2023 was all about Meg Lanning-led Delhi Capitals.

After dominating performance from skipper Meg Lanning (72 off 43), Shafali Verma (84 off 45), and Marizanne Kapp (39 off 17) in the 1st innings, 24-year-old left-arm pacer Tara Norris stole the show in 2nd innings as took some of the most prized wickets in the game.   

The medium pacer from America rattled RCB’s batting line-up as she picked five wickets and conceded 29 runs in his four overs. Norris’ fiver-fer comprised some top-quality batters in the RCB’s squad she hunted down Ellyse Perry (31), Disha Kasat (9), Richa Ghosh (2), Kanika Ahuja (0), and Heather Knight (34).
