The expectation of India avenging the ODI World Cup Final loss to Australia 20 years ago
On March 23, 2003, Australia thumped India by a big margin of 125 runs in the final at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, to lift the coveted ODI World Cup trophy for the third time. Since then, the Men in Blue have won the CWC once in 2011, while the Australians have added two world titles to their tally in 2007 and 2015.
Although a lot of time has gone by, many Indian fans are still reminiscing about the ODI World Cup final loss from 20 years ago, with an expectation of watching the team get the better of Australia on November 19, which could make it the most viewed game ever.
