In the opening match of a double-header Sunday in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) are hosting Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on April 13. However, both teams are coming on the back of a loss in their respective previous matches, the home side will be aiming to start their home season with a bang, hoping to continue their domination over the Bengaluru-based franchise.
Ahead of the match, the two skippers walked out for toss where the RCB captain, Rajat Patidar came out on top. After the call going his way, RCB elected to field first, thus inviting the home side to put the score first on the board. “We will bowl first. Surface looks pretty hard and good. We will know how the pitch behaves,” Patidar said at the toss.
Wanindu Hasaranga returns; replaces Fazalhaq Farooqi
When asked of the team combination, RCB skipper confirmed to go with the same team, RR skipper on the other hand, called for an obvious change with Wanindu Hasaranga back in the side. “Hasa is back. Hasaranga will be replacing our Farooqi ji,” Samson said.
“Actually we also wanted to bowl first. Normally it gets better to bat is the local information here. We know the conditions and if we respect the opposition and play to potential I think we will be fine.
